A leaflet for anyone concerned about the risk of child abuse
Are you worried about the safety of a child? Do you know a child that's always bruised? Do you know a child that's neglected or withdrawn? Do you hear a baby crying constantly? Do you know a child that is left alone, dirty, hungry or inadequately dressed? Do you know a stressed parent who cannot cope? Do you know a child that is constantly 'put down', insulted, sworn at or humiliated?
Every action counts. If you have concerns, there is someone who will listen.
Worried about a child? explains the steps that can be taken by anyone worried about the safety of a child.
